CASINO BUS TRIPS:

Bus trips to the BEAU RIVAGE CASINO in Biloxi, MS are available Thursday and Friday. Pick up is at the Target Bellair Mall, a short distance from the Hotel. Transportation from the hotel to the pickup point can be arranged. There are two trips a day. One in the morning and another in the afternoon. Cost of the round trip is $8.00 . The Casino also includes $15 in a free play voucher.

FRIDAY NIGHT BUFFET:

Do not miss the Friday Night Buffet. 7:00 pm-9:00 PM. Heavy Hors d'oeuvre" will be served consisting of Imported and Domestic cheeses, fresh fruit, assorted vegetables with Ranch Dressing. USS ALABAMA TOUR, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2008

At 9:00 AM you will board your motorcoach and depart for the USS ALABAMA MEMORIAL PARK. On the way to the USS ALABAMA, a WW2 Battleship you will ride through our historic districts with the beautiful oak trees that line streets and the Ante Bellum Homes. 9:30 arrive at the Park. Tour the Battleship, the WW2 submarine, and the Aircraft Pavilion. 12:30 PM Lunch will be served in the Ward Room, Menu TBA. 1:30 PM you will depart for the Hotel. Cost of tour is $48 per person. A minimum of 35 people is required for the tour.

Here it is gentlemen, a new fiscal year for the USS BELKNAP ASSOCIATION. If you have not already paid your yearly dues, send them in. We have to cover the expenses of running the association. The website has to be paid for, as does the printing and mailing of the newsletters. The reunion planning this year has not cost us as much since Al Sniff lives so close to Mobile. But the expenses for the reunion and have to be paid. I hope to see a lot of you and new faces in Mobile. But if you can't make it, as surely circumstances will arrive still need to send in your dues. Also is any single members are planning to attend and would like to share a room please just let us know.

LADIES AUXILIARY:

This is the first year for the Ladies Auxiliary. We will be setting up the Registration desk and will need volunteers to help there and whatever the association asks us to do. We are planning a coffee Friday morning so everyone can meet and get some good ideas on the table. If you are planning to come would you please e-mail me so I can get a schedule made up. Really looking forward to Mobile and another successful reunion.

Those with cars can park at the ships terminal for $12.50 per day. If left at the hotel, there is no charge. Local transportation is available to the terminal for $10.00 - one way.
