2009 Saint Louis Reunion Information

The association members attending the reunion in Mobile, AL, this past October, selected St. Louis, MO as the site for our 2009 Reunion. See below for details.

When?:

22-26 October, 2009. Limited rooms available at group rates ($75/night) for 3 days before and after the reunion.

Where?:

What is Westport Plaza?:

Westport Plaza is a 42-acre development offering 18 restaurants and entertainment venues - all available without crossing a street or needing transportation! At Westport Plaza, you can mouse over the names of venues at the bottom of the page and the specific location will be shown, along with a description.

How to Register:

There are two ways to register:

• Go to the special BELKNAP reservation website at Reservations and follow the procedure.
• Call the reservations number, 1-800-822-3535, and be sure to ask for the BELKNAP Group at the Westport Plaza Tower.

Items of interest for our stay:

• The hotel is a smoke-free property, but has rooms with balconies on which they will allow you to smoke if you shut the sliding door. If you need one of these rooms, specify when you register.
• You can bring pets without restrictions.
St. Louis is a major hub for Southwest Airlines.
• The hotel runs free shuttles to/from the airport every 30 minutes until 2300 each day.
• If the Blues (hockey team) has a game in town during our stay, the hotel will provide 2 free tickets for us to use as we please.
• Free transportation and entry to Gold's Gym for all who desire to use their facilities.
• Free parking available at the hotel.
• Round-trip Metro rides from airport to downtown cost only $5.50. If you account for cost of gas and parking, this is a deal.
• Reduced cost ($3 off) of breakfast buffet each day.
• We can also bring our own food into our meeting room for breakfast (like from Starbucks or St. Louis Bread Co.) or, for snacks.
• Coupon book for each room containing discounts for all the venues at Westport.
• RV parking, without hookups, is available.
• Hotel has an Enterprise rental desk that provides autos at an 11% savings over what you would pay at the airport.
• Welcome package of information provided for each room.
• Harrah's and Ameristar Casinos provide free shuttle service.
• 17-seat vehicles available for special trips at $40 each way (about $2 per person).
• St. Louis Mills is moments away and has over 175 brand name stores and outlets, entertainment and great dining.
• If the Rams are in town, we will be investigating the possibility of getting some tickets. Being there through Sunday allows us to do that.
• If you let Reunion Coordinator at USSBelknap.com know of your room needs and other details, he will work with the hotel staff in advance to try to meet all your needs/wants.
• Average temperature in October is 68º.
• The hotel will provide a complementary wine, beer & cheese reception for 1 hour on the day of our choice.
• Our formal dinner will include choices of Herb Grilled Salmon, London Broil, and Chicken Marsala. The dinner will be plated and served at your table with a cost of $35 each. A registration form with menu choice will be posted later.
• When schedules are available, we will notify you of shows at the Backstreet Jazz & Blues Club, The Playhouse Theater, and Funny Bone Comedy Club.
